A curiosity for seeking out exceptional talent and placing them into transformative roles for clients has been my passion for the last decade. Organisations large and small, in a myriad of sectors, have benefited from my deep experience in the search and selection of executives and non-executives.

Whether it is marketing or merchandising, charities or challenger brands, my approach is based on empathy, for both client and candidate, and a scrupulous, but creative and results-driven approach.

Human capital is the most effective resource any company can obtain to achieve enduring results. This is not found through algorithms and AI but through calibration and chemistry.

A career researcher I differentiate myself within the Executive Search and Selection/talent acquisition sector because I bring; academic rigour and research principles, gained as a result of post-graduate degrees; commercial acumen and an ability to analyse and assess client and candidate needs, and significant levels of emotional intelligence and empathy. I am driven by the prospect of seeing clients and candidates thrive as a result of the selection and judgement I have made.

Central to my success in talent identification, attraction and assessment has been an ability to quickly understand and respond to client needs, clear communications with client and candidates and an ability to build a pipeline of candidates based on trust, respect, intuition and judgement. The ability to identify relevant candidates is one thing: persuading them to change roles takes experience and diplomacy.

Background

​

Alex MacLeod has worked in the executive search and selection sector for over 10 years. Over that period he has held research positions with global firms, such as Egon Zehnder and Odgers Berndtson. In his last role he was Head of Research for a boutique search firm.

​

Alex holds degrees (BA, MA and MPhil) in history, Latin American Studies and international relations from London (UCL), Paris and Oxford and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

​

Truly global, he has worked with clients across the UK, EU, Switzerland, West Africa, USA and the Caribbean. He has lived in different continents, including Latin America and Australia and has multiple citizenships. He is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish.
